Just want to wish all Happy Valentine!
I don't see why the fuss about Muslim cleric instructing Muslims not to celebrate Valentine as it is their religious belief and their own conviction. If they impose on Non-Muslims then they have no grounds to do so and non-muslims can raise a case. Let it be if the Muslims want to ban, raid some hotels , prowl in some dark places looking for Muslim couples as it is their funeral. So Non-Muslims stop meddling into Muslim issues.

For those celebrating Valentine, Happy Valentine and for me its just a quiet dinner at home, cooked by my beloved wife.

Read this article and wanted to share a good man's thoughts!
Mohamad Tajuddin Mohamad Rasdi says he does not believe in such celebrations, but because others do and it makes them happy, what is the big deal?
I wish to contribute my thoughts on the Valentine-Christian issue with respect to the renowned speaker Ustazah Siti Nor Bahyah.
The main message of my thoughts is simply that Muslim scholars and clerics must be made to understand that they are not experts in everything … particularly a good many things about other faiths like Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and Judaism.
Muslim clerics like the Ustazah merely receive their education from traditional Islamic Institutions that do not have the subjects of Philosophy, Civilisation and Religious Studies.
All they know and have learnt are only from a single source of Muslim Studies.
As an academic, I will admit and clearly explain what I do know and what I do not know. If I had to respond to a certain question or comment with respect to knowledge that I do not possess much, then I am most humble in answering and never in an absolute or commandeering tone … much lest in a sarcastic or demeaning manner.

It is most unfortunate that in Malaysia, as well as perhaps in other Muslim countries too, Muslims think that it is their ‘divine’ duty to hate people of other faiths.This is done to the point that a non-Muslim chief minister is despised despite his excellence in governance but a Muslim minister is supported and protected when allegations of rape, murder or bribery seem apparent.
This is the ‘racism’ of religion. These Muslims are completely unaware that Islam is here to bring peace of mind and heart and that one should love all of mankind.
The one that Muslims should despise are the wrongdoers … yes even if they are Muslims! When Muslims read the Al-Qur’an and come to the verses where Allah chastise the wrongdoers, the Malays would automatically assigned in their minds people of other faiths such as Christian, Hindus and Jews. Islam, as I have come to understand it, does not teach this idea of ‘you are either with me or with them’ situation.

Yes, Muslims may point to the Surah al-Kafirun but that is meant for a particular situation where Islam is being challenged directly in a crude and vicious manner.
We should not be too hard on the Ustazah for two reasons. Firstly, her racial stance is very clear towards non-Malays and this is simply the product of NGOs like Perkasa and certain political parties stoking the racial flames.Many Ustaz that I have heard from my collection of CDs would often denigrate other religions in front of Muslims in the mosques and suraus. Many of these statements remain in complete silence as only some Muslims are purview to them.

Siti Nor Bahyah was unfortunate enough to have said it on TV and so it exploded in her face. So we should not be too hard on her as she is just a small tip of the iceberg; there are hundreds of others clerics guilty of the same matter.
We should also take a long hard look at our leaders who allow such NGOs as Perkasa seemingly to champion the fate of one race by denigrating loudly, rudely and dangerously issues concerning Malaysian society.Secondly, we should not be too hard on her because her education at a religious institution is, to me, outdated in its curriculum content and course intentions.

Although I myself have never attended any religious institution locally or overseas, I would venture an educated guess that these institutions do not offer subjects such as philosophy, civilisational elements of humankind, comparative religions, modern social issues and psychology.I judge this from the hundreds of CDs of religious lectures by the most acclaimed ulamak in our country.

It is therefore my own conclusion that Ustaz and Ustazah of these kinds can only teach Muslims in mosques and suraus and should never be invited to speak and comment on national television with respect to issues such as Valentine’s Day, yoga or Christianity.They simply do not know what they are talking about!

Furthermore, these people have never gone through a Ph.D process; in such training one would have to break down all the knowledge that one knows and research it to its root and reformulate a new understanding with a clear set of views and assumptions.
In the university, one is not allowed to teach students if one does not have a Ph.D. But in the religious arena such as in Islam, a simple degree or a diploma graduate is let loose among the Muslims to air their limited views about Islam in the modern world. This is a very dangerous situation.As an architecture academic, I myself have had experience engaging in discourses with ulamak or clerics concerning issues of mosque design and conservation as well as the language of Islamic architecture.

Very few clerics are humble enough to say they do not possess knowledge to make a religious verdict but there are many more who are arrogant enough to show that they and only they know about all things related to Islam because they went to a religious institution, can speak Arabic and that people like me have only got knowledge from books and in a ‘kafir’ institution.Well, to these people, do they know about environment behaviour studies, or architectural anthropology, or relating the values of the sunnah and inventing new architectural language?

Do they even know what is the technology history and meanings of domes in Islam? They certainly DO NOT! But they fall prey to their own deluded sense of importance and knowledge.What are my suggestions to remedy this educational malady?

Firstly, I recommend that people such as Siti Nor Bahyah, who shows a great talent for speaking, should follow a post-graduate course in philosophy or comparative religion.In fact I would advocate that all graduates of Islamic Studies attend at least a two-year Masters course in something outside of Islam such as spending time in a non-Muslim community and reporting their beliefs and concerns and thus evaluating them in relation to the Islamic principle of dakwah.

That would give them a better perspective from the people and provide much-needed vocabulary to speak with that culture.A friend of mine from UKM read his Ph.D from the Divinity School in Edinburgh to learn the strategy of dakwah on television used by the Christians.This shows that if we, Muslims, are humble and admit that all knowledge belong to Allah, then we will respect even knowledge from the ‘infidels’ or ‘non-believers’.

Personally I just like to use the term non-Muslim because the other two represent a tone of hostility.My next suggestion is to change the madrasah curriculum to add the subject of comparative religion with a real expert that gives a fair view of the religions or else invite priests, padres or monks to lecture about their own faiths in the madrasah.Why not? Is this a sin? This is knowledge. If you want to set up a business in a foreign country, you would get all the necessary information about their culture from a local and not from a secondary source!So if we are to live side by side with non-Muslims we must have knowledge and respect of their religion and culture.When did Muslims become so arrogant to think that only they are the beloved of Allah and that only they will go to heaven? That sounds exactly what the Jews said to the Prophet Muhammad.

To me it does not mean that Judaism is a ‘bad’ religion but the arrogance of the individuals who think so. I know so many Muslim individuals like that holding the reins of power in various positions in Muslim countries.And what of the Valentine’s Day issue? Or for that matter why don’t we drag celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries?As a man, I do not really prefer to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. But I am a father of five children and husband.

If my children expect some birthday celebration, I would always give them presents a week before their birthday and say that it was a present because they have been good in this way or that.On the day itself, I would surprise them with a cake or eating out at Pizza Hut or McDonalds. I do the same for my wedding anniversaries and my wife seems to be happy with it.I do not believe in all those celebrations, but because others do and it makes them happy and I can provide it, what is the big deal?

I do not say that the celebration is part of the sunnah and I don’t go overboard celebrating them.If people of different religions send me a birthday card, I would thank them for remembering! I would not feel sad if nobody remembers my birthday but if they do … well and good.Come to think of it, why do Muslims celebrate the Prophet’s Birthday? Why celebrate the Isra’ Mi’raj or The Ascension? The Hijrah?

I have read many hadiths and stories of Sahabah. None of them celebrates these dates.
Where do we come off denigrating other faiths? We, Muslims, must remember that Valentine’s Day is not responsible for our children’s immoral activities.
We are.Look deep into ourselves and ask what we have done to nurture our children in these modern times.It is a hard thing but every conscious parent has to go through it. How do we teach the values we hold dear.Certainly NOT by denigrating other people’s faith! Let them know it through your actions but you must have knowledge in them.
Lastly, on the matter of saying Christians are bad … well, my children, my wife and I have been treated by the best doctors who are mostly non-Muslims and I thank Allah for their skill and knowledge.I have been taught more by non-Muslim lecturers and teachers who cared about my future and I thank Allah for their dedication.

Am I a Christian or a Buddhist? No … I am still a Muslim. I read the teachings of the Buddha and the Bible in the spirit that all religion come from the same source and there is much to teach us if we are humble in our search for spiritual peace.
Let us all be humble in learning and much more humble in teaching knowledge.

No historical evidence of Hang Tuah

Historian Prof Khoo Kay Kim says that the Ming dynasty's records do not mention the princess or the famous warrior. He also points out that early Malaysian history is based on stories.

PETALING JAYA: According to history, Chinese Princess Hang Li Po was the fifth wife of Malaccan Sultan Mansur Shah who reigned from 1456-1477.During this period, there was also the legend of the Sultan’s five famous warriors, Hang Tuah, Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir and Hang Lekiu. It is a tale of friendship and loyalty, which every Malaysian had heard.
However, renowned historian Prof Khoo Kay Kim told radio station BFM this morning that Hang Li Po and the five warriors never existed.Speaking to FMT later, he explained: “The Chinese Ming dynasty of the 16th century does not have records on them. These are very well preserved records.”The KDU college chancellor also said he had read the writings of two Western historians and another prominent historian Wang Gung Wu on the Ming records which did not mention the characters either.“History must be based on empirical records. Historians must only accept written records,” he said, adding that empirical records available here were at best “skanky”.
“There is no evidence in the Malaysian records,” he said. “These are stories. Early Malaysian history is based on stories.”“We have had many stories. Only recently historians have taken the trouble to research the early Malaysian history period. A lot of stories accepted in the past cannot be proven,” he added.
Khoo also told FMT that there are rumours that the Malacca kingdom was founded in 1292 even though there were records to prove that it was formed in the 15th century.
He added that the government had instructed the syllabus committee to go through the school history syllabus to rectify the errors.The syllabus, said Khoo, would be introduced in the year 2014.

Islamisation of national schools - a parent's view

Not that this is unknown or new. However, as a parent, I found it quite disturbing that this has reached an alarming state. Allow me to give you a first-hand insight. We had enrolled our daughter at a national school in Bandar Sri Damansara for Primary 1. What was supposed to be an eagerly anticipated 'graduation' into formal schooling turned out to be a worrying scenario that has caused us to rethink our future in this country as well as our plans for our kids. We had, of course, heard of the instances of the growing Islamic influence in national schools and some horror stories to go along with it. But perhaps we underestimated the level of abuse that was occurring. Orientation was conducted on Jan 2 and the very first horror story to greet us was that all children were required to attend Arab language classes. Don't get me wrong. I am of the opinion that learning a foreign language is beneficial. However, in this case, rather than it coming across as knowledge, it smells of propaganda and a subtle attempt to reinforce Islamic principles on us - Muslims and non-Muslims alike. We insisted that our children be exempt from the class. What perplexed us the most was the lack of options presented for non-Muslim students. When we inquired, the response was that there were no teachers for other languages, namely Mandarin or Tamil. Also, it was told to us that the children need not worry about the Arab classes as it was purely language and there were no elements of religion in it - something that we came to discover was not true. This became apparent when this morning one of the parents chanced upon the Arab language teacher in class. Prior to starting the lesson, the teacher made all the students rise and lift their hands to recite the 'Bismillah' prayer and other chants. There was no attempt to inform the non-Muslim students that they did not need to do so. Just imagine, these were impressionable seven-year-olds who have just come out of kindergarten. The fact that there was no regard for the rights of the non- Muslim kids by these teachers was just unbelievable! One would easily be tempted to think that this was part of a bigger plan to influence non-Muslim children into embracing Islamic way of life. This should not be happening in national schools. There was more to come. Not only was it necessary for the children (Muslims) to start off the assembly with a prayer (Islamic, of course), the teachers also made it a point to enforce this before and after recess. The students would be ushered out of the classrooms and be made to line up prior to visiting the canteen. But just before that, the 'Bismillah' prayer is recited (there were attempts to inform the non-Muslims that they were not required to do so) and once recess is over, the Muslim students are again required to recite another prayer. All this is done together with the non-Muslim students. Would this not confuse a child that is eager to learn and yet be constantly reminded that they should not do this and that? There's a lot more but I just wanted to highlight the crux of the matter. I just cannot comprehend the need for all this when, at the heart of the matter, is sound education and growth of the children that matters. The religious needs are already met by the Agama/Moral studies, so why the need for Arab classes? What is the objective of these programmes? Why is there no proper alternative for those who do not practice Islam? What scares me the most is that this is being practiced or implemented at the national level. If this is the case, then why talk of national integration and a new education blueprint? How can you achieve this with so many divisive policies? To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I just hope that common sense will prevail - but as they say, common sense is not so common after all. The school later did accede to our request to have the children segregated during Arab classes, but after having one too many encounters with the lackadaisical attitude of the teachers, we are not convinced.

The Selangor Islamic Affairs Department, JAIS made raids during the New Year weekend that ended with the arrests and charging a number of Muslim Malaysians for offences related to alcohol consumption and khalwat and we all know that consuming alcohol is an offence for Muslims. The defender of Islam, Dr. Hasan Ali, in defending the JAIS raids said that 10 people would be charged in the Syariah Court for consuming alcohol.He went on to say that 46 others would have to undergo counseling for being present at an outlet that served alcohol!If that is the case, many Muslims would loose their job even the hard-working Muslim Malaysian with honest jobs in hotel bars, restaurants, our national airline, golf clubs,those working in the hypermarkets which sells beer and etc to earn a decent living for themselves and their families? Do they need to be counseled or need to look for another job. I suppose Hassan Ali would come up with a proposal on the kind of jobs that Muslims could do and cannot do, so look out for a pamphlet! Way to go Hassan!

BN really must GO! - Capt. Iskandar Dzulkarnain

During Mahathir's rule many non-B's in the armed forces resigned due to lack of promotion opportunities because of his new govt policies. Before that we had 7 Chinese and 2 Indian Generals.Tun Dr Mahathir was Prime Minister of Malaysia for 22 years. All of us lived under his leadership during his tenure, and many of us have come to admire him and regard him with our deepest respect, for what he had done for the country.

His Vision 2020, the Look East Policy, the Multimedia Super Corridor, the Internet and his efforts to industrialize the country has brought countless prosperity to our nation.Lately, we see a sudden about turn to his speeches and rhetoric. Many who listened with interest to his sermons, are alarmed at the vast distortion of everything he has tried to impress upon us in the past.He is beginning to sound incoherent, with a tinge of cynicism.

The great empire he built in the last 22 years is slowly unraveling, crumbling, torn asunder by the words that spew forth from his mouth.Everyone, who knows him in the past, is becoming disappointed in what he holds dear to.At his age, we expect the Grand Old Vizier with wide political experience to advise us, and tell us where we went wrong, and to correct us.To warn us of the pitfalls of racism, corruption and to protect this country from tearing itself apart.Lately, many of his speeches have been met with disgust as he keeps on leveling criticism on the different races.

Even Singapore was not spared.His latest speech that Malaysia belongs to the Malays, that Malays think 1Malaysia is about abolishing vernacular schools, and that Chinese and Indians think that 1Malaysia means abolishing Malay Rights, is really hurtful and hard to swallow.

Today, he is championing Malay Rights.He is angry that Non-Malays are questioning these rights. He is also angry that Malays themselves are questioning these so-called Rights. He wants the other races to acknowledge that the Dominant Malays are the rightful heirs to this country called Malaysia .It is an embarrassment to the Malays. What special rights is he talking about? If the Malays have benefited from it, why have the Malays not advanced any further?

All these years, the Special Rights has only led the Malays to acknowledge that it is only a big pie in the sky. If the Malays has Special Rights, why are the Malays still lagging behind? Did anybody actually accorded the Malays these Rights in the past? Did the Malays reject these Rights, so much so that they are now living in utter poverty? Can someone start going around and bestow this Rights upon the Malays right now? As far as we know, we never had any Rights!!!Only the Chinese and Indians think we have Special Rights.

They can do and go where they want.Can a Malay drink where he wants?
Can a Malay eat what and where he wants? Can a Malay believe in whatever God he wants, like the Chinese and Indians? No, he can't. He has no rights!To have rights means to have freedom to do what you want. It seems that the Chinese and Indians and the other races seem to have more rights than us Malays.Most Malays don't give two hoots about Tanah Melayu, Ketuanan Melayu or Special Rights, because it does not exist.We just want a decent life, job, a brighter, predictable future and the Right to practice our religion free of oppression. We are a loosely knitted race that comprises mixed Javanese, Sumatran, Indian, Hunanese, Thai, and Middle East blood bound together by our religion Islam. And yet in the INTERLOK novel we branded other communities as Pariahs. Why, why, why???

Being good Muslims, why must we insult other races??? And if there is a Special Right, I think I would want to have the Right to mingle freely with our Chinese and Indian friends, step into a church and listen with interest to their choirs singing Christmas Carols, drop by a Chinese temple, and observe the monks chanting their mantras, or to an Indian Temple to see how they worship. And to drop by the Pub, for a glass of cold Coke, without feeling a little peculiar.I want the right to tell all our fellow citizens that we do not harbour any ill will against them, that we are just like them and that we will always stand by them.22 years in power, and yet so many of us Malays still live in misery. We are not asking for utter riches, just a decent life, but many Malays still live in utter misery, except the Super rich UMNOPutras.

And in the last election, many disappointed Malays were abandoning BN in droves. Lastly, keep this in mind, 99 percent of Malaysians are not racist. We are too busy living our lives than to check on our neighbours. It is the one percent who are UMNOputras desperately clinging on to power, and who will do anything at any cost, even selling their souls to the devil, that is causing all this ruckus about Racism in this country. Malays, in their right minds are not going to support this bunch of losers. That is why they say that the Malays are split between UMNO and PAS. And the blame was put on poor old Nik Aziz, who became the scapegoat for splitting the Malays. Really BN and it's UMNOputras must go! Life isn't about how to survive the storm,But how to dance in the rain...

During my recent visit I was awe stuck by two different incidence that made me respect the Singaporean Muslims more than their compatriot in Malaysia. You may ask me why?
The recent advertisement by TV8 is a classic example how they educate the non-Muslims and not the Muslims. The video depicts an obnoxious behaviour by a Chinese girl during the puasa month. In one scene she was wearing a bit revealing dress and it has offensive for Muslim man who immediately closes his daugther's eyes.Wonder why? Second news that I heard was that JAIS raided a church under the suspicion that the church is preaching Christianity to some Muslims but the truth is that they happen to be attending a dinner function. Talking about being paranoia and the act of playing god or guardian of god!
Let me share my experience with Mohd Fahim Farouq,Hotel Mandarin, Spore at the Chatterbox Cafe. First of all he speaks better English than the average Malay in Malaysia. Secondly he's proud of his lineage of being mix-blood. He mentioned that he is muslim and practices his faith diligently but he would not be in denying his heritage of being Indian. He continued to say that he is Indian and Malay blood but a Muslim. He asked me why some Indian Muslims refuse to accept their bloodline and try to be more Malays and made such remark on Mahathir Mohamed, the Ex-PM and I didn't know how to answer him! He is very clear being a Muslim and of having a mixed blood and he teaches his children to be proud of their mix-parentage.
Second incident, Non-Muslims eating in the presence of Muslims is something that is looked down,scorned and condemned by the Muslims in Malaysia. I saw a Malay women sitting down and having a conversation with non-muslims, mainly Chinese during lunch. I was curious and asked her doesn't she feel offended by the act of non-muslims eating in her presence to that she answered why should she be as she is fasting and they are not.
I guess she has more faith in her religion compared t our Muslim counter part in Malaysia. My respect for the Malay Muslims in Singapore raised thousand fold after these two events.I reckon this behaviour by Muslims would be a far fetched dream in Malaysia.

Recently, I read that UiTM, who else would make such an offer 'The Katak Ibrahim's Scholar Award which offers total cash prizes of RM5,000 for students who are proven to have "clear and consistent" principles in upholding the Malay race.
Isn't it a disgrace to an education institution to offer such a demeaning award that practically worships race superiority. Today I read that the UiTM vice-chancellor Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar has since denied that the university had approved the award, stating that UiTM had merely "overlooked" the issue after it was publicised on the website of one of its departments.
Overlooked my foot, it appeared in your official website and now you claimed that it was overlooked. Just like the BeeNed government.

Those of you familiar with Indian politics and have been to Chennai during the April 13 election would have noticed the conspicuous absence of posters, banners, hoardings in the city, even though campaigning was at its peak for in Tamil Nadu.
This is in a stark contrast to its past elections. Tamil Nadu used to be known for its dominating, life-sized cut outs of political personalities dotting the landscape at poll time. The 2011 election campaign has done away with all that, thanks to the tough stand adopted by the Election Commission of India.
The distinguished Shahabuddin Yaqoob Quraishi, the chief election commissioner, without mincing his words, called Tamil Nadu the most challenging of all elections. Even before the polls began to the five state assemblies, he felt that not only “violence” would pose a big challenge in West Bengal and in Tamil Nadu, it would also be money politics.But I was informed by many distinguished members of civil society that the April 13 election was in all aspects an Election Commission’s election, not one of Dravidian parties.
The EC was fiercely independent, accountable, professional and had a dedicated yearning to promote free and fair elections in the world’s largest democracy. They were not pussies pretending to be Tigers or proxies and cronies of incumbents and on the take.Election rulings pertaining even to posters were strictly enforced, what more other fundamental issues to ensure fair and free elections.
The EC seized millions in cash after putting in place ‘flying squads’ to address corruption and abuse whenever a tip-off from the members of the public came in.Well-connected politicians became so rattled by the EC’s tough standthat the chief minister publicly attacking the EC for declaring what he termed as a “mini emergency” in the state.
When Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee was in Chennai to release the Congress party’s manifesto, he skirted around the controversy by saying that he did not want to comment on the functioning of the Election Commission, mandated by the Constitution to conduct free and fair elections.That statement in itself was a powerful message of things that were to come and the change taking place for free and fair elections in the various states of India. An ordinary Inspector of Police stopped the convoy of GK Vasan, senior Congress leader in Dindigul, because there were more than the permitted four cars in the convoy.
The said Inspector who stopped the Congress convoy said he would have to be answerable to the EC if he allowed them more than the allotted number of cars in a convoy. It showed how seriously the State Electoral Officer, Praveen Kumar and his team, were taking to their jobs without fear or favour.The EC’s fearlessness and heroic stories of ordinary officials doing their duty at considerable risk is admirable. Another story was in Tiruchy, where a woman official, a revenue division officer, equivalent to a sub divisional magistrate in the north on her first posting, had received a call in the dead of night, informing her of money being transported in a bus.
She immediately set out with her driver and office boy, picking up a couple of police inspectors on the way, and confiscated Rs 5 crores found in five bags on top of the bus. Voters were encouraged by the fact that the EC had got its act together even before the notification of elections.In Madurai, a stronghold of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s son, MK Azhagiri, the EC transferred four collectors and six police officials, among whom was superintendent of police. The new collector did not think twice about entering the house of Azhagiri’s lieutenants and checking on complaints filed against them.
The result – massive landslide victories all over and in Tamil Nadu.

New Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalitha, ascribed her party’s decisive victory in the polls to the people’s anger against the DMK regime and the EC for its fantastic job in ensuring a free and fair polls.
In West Bengal, former Union Rail Minister, the fiery no-nonsense Mamata Banerjee won a landslide as well, and in Kerala another great result.
Kerala’s ousted chief minister was reported to have left on a bicycle refusing to use the official car for the drive home and agreeing to pay for whatever phone bill he had incurred during his tenure, from his pension.
Talk about politics of accountability!
Just imagine what the world of politics would be IF only ECs in different jurisdictions had the religious and mental courage to do the same rather than continuing to betray voters in return for various forms of gratuitous rewards and payments.

Now we know why Bersih 2.0 is so important! Please make an appointment on 9th of July wherever you are.

Salwa al Mutairi argued buying a sex-slave would protect decent, devout and 'virile' Kuwaiti men from adultery because buying an imported sex partner would be tantamount to marriage. And she even had an idea of where to 'purchase' these sex-salves - browsing through female prisoners of war in other countries. Mutairi claimed: 'There was no shame in it and it is not haram' (forbidden) under Islamic Sharia law.' She gave the example of Haroun al-Rashid, an 8th century Muslim leader who ruled over an area covered by modern-day Iran, Iraq and Syria and was rumoured to have 2,000 concubines.
Mutairi recommended that offices could be opened to run the sex trade in the same way that recruitment agencies provide housemaids. She suggested shopping for prisoners of war so as to protect Kuwaiti men from being tempted to commit adultery or being seduced by other women's beauty. 'For example, in the Chechnyan war, surely there are female Russian captives,' she said. 'So go and buy those and sell them here in Kuwait. Better than to have our men engage in forbidden sexual relations.'
Her unbelievable argument for her plan was that ‘captives’ might 'just die of hunger over there'. She insisted, 'I don’t see any problem in this, no problem at all'.
There you go, its allowed in the religion!

This could help Malaysian non Muslims to better understand the body snatching issue. The birth cert attached with this posting is my own Birth cert. It was extracted in December 2010 when I went to the Wilayah Persekutuan Registration office to get my new Birth certificate for purposes of applications overseas. When I received the certificate, I was shocked because of missing and also incorrect information as follows:
1.My religion was not stated
2.My Father´s age was stated as -nil-
3.My father´s religion as stated was not available
4.My Mother´s citizenship was stated as non citizen
5.My Mother´s status of residence stated as Permanent Resident
6.My Mother´s religion - Information is not available was stated

I asked the officer in the department why my religion was not stated. She said it would only be stated as Islam for Malays. When I asked her about my religion, she said normally they would not write it. So I asked her for a letter saying that she would not write my religion in my birth certificate. She hesitated and asked me to wait and called her higher officer.Both refused to change the mistakes in my Birth certificate.Despite my objections, they asked me to go to Putrajaya. There, they asked me to show proof of my faith in a particular religion. Where does this end then? In this technological era, they can't event amend the errors in my birth certificate.
Let us see what is wrong with it. My religion is Hindu. Indians are normally Hindus unless they converted to Islam or Christianity. How stupid they are when they can bravely write that my religion is not available!
When I was born definitely my father would have been of a particular age. It is the duty of the officer to write it clearly. Even if they missed that, they can still amend it now if they want to do so. My father´s religion was also not stated. Do they think we don't have a religion? It appears that it is easy to make changes according to their will.
It is clearly a lie to staye that my mother is not citizen. My father who born in Malaysia in 1940's is a Malaysian citizen but my mother who born in mid 1950s is not regarded as a citizen. What a big joke of Boleh Land! My mother´s status of residence stated she is a permanent residence whereas she has a citizenship earlier. All those lazy guys who work in the registration department should be replaced with hard working staff. My mother´s religion is stated as not available. Why?
This is not a joke but a serious matter. Remember - if important information are not filled in properly, they can manipulate it when i die by stating I was a Muslim. It is possible. If some professional can copy my signature and sign it in the conversion paper, I will be definitely be regarded as a Muslim.
With this, they can snatch my body after my death. It is possible.
Please recheck your birth certificate and identity card for the assurance so that they dont take away your body when you die. The registration department is responsible for my predicament because of their laziness and carelessness when undertaking their duties.
There is only one religion in this country, Islam!

Recently i visited Thailand and shocked to find out that our currency is lower in value than Thai Baht. We use to get good exchange rate that makes our purchases worthy but now we need to think twice about spending overseas. I did not have any data to back my claims but today an article in Malaysian Insider proved my point. Malaysian currency sucks!Tks to Mahathir,Pak Lah and Najib's leadership.

The Malaysian Insider, an online Malaysian news website, examined the purchasing power of Malaysians in comparison to nationals of other countries. The website cited a 2010 Prices and Wages report by UBS AG, a Swiss banking giant.
Here are the highlights:
The purchasing power of KL residents is 33.8% of New Yorkers; 42% compared to London, 33.7% to Sydney, 32.6% to Los Angeles, and 31.6% to Zurich.
KL workers need to labour 22 minutes for a bread loaf. In comparison, Los Angeles counterparts take 18 minutes. In Sydney, it's 16 minutes. In Tokyo, 15 minutes. In Zurich, 12 minutes.
The Malaysian Insider also compared broadband prices in Malaysia to those in countries. Even after currency conversion, Malaysia comes out on top... in expensiveness. Here's the summary:

Understanding Islam thorough Sufism

I read this interesting article by MAGICK RIVER which made me understand Islam better compared to what I hear and see in Malaysia.
Many years ago I met a Sufi master whose profound understanding of Islam truly impressed me.But before I continue with this story, let me state that almost all the Muslims with whom I have had close friendships have either been Sufis - or were gravitating towards a mystical interpretation of Islam. The mystical approach is experiential and private; whereas ritualistic religion is regulated by public behavior and therefore tends to be tribalistic in nature.
I find it impossible to have an intelligent conversation with fundamentalists of any persuasion - whether Muslim, Christian or whatever. This is because fundamentalism is antagonistic to intelligence. Wherever violence erupts over religious differences, fundamentalism is invariably the root cause. Brawn and brute force override brain and heart when independent thinking is suppressed.Looking up the word "fundamentalism" in my trusty digital dictionary, I found this concise summary:
"Islamic fundamentalism appeared in the 18th and 19th centuries as a reaction to the disintegration of Islamic political and economic power, asserting that Islam is central to both state and society and advocating strict adherence to the Koran (Qur'an) and to Islamic law (sharia), supported if need be by jihad or holy war."
There you have it. Fundamentalism is basically an outward manifestation of ego insecurity. An entire tribe or nation can suffer from ego insecurity and seek refuge in hardline dogmatism and fanaticism. You could say it's a pathological condition and, as such, can be quite easily cured - once the hidden hand behind the reactionary forces is revealed and surgically amputated.
In every case you will find that the chief puppetmaster isn't even a believer. He cynically exploits the gullibility of the mindless mob and manipulates its collective pain-body through control of the mass media and law enforcement. Coming back to my Sufi friend who enlightened me about the essence of Islam. He pointed out the significance of a triconsonantal syllable in Arabic and Hebrew which expresses peace, harmony and wholeness: the Arabic SaLaM and Hebraic ShaLoM are the commonest embodiments of this key to being truly muSLiM.Sin-Lam-Mim (Arabic: س ل م‎ S-L-M; Hebrew: שלם‎ Š-L-M) is the triconsonantal root of many Semitic words, and many of those words are used as names. The root itself translates as "whole, safe, intact."
Note that this triconsonantal syllable forms the root of the words "Islam" and "Muslim." This places the frequency of peace, harmony and wholeness at the very core of Islam and any sentient being that consciously aspires towards attunement and harmonization with the Whole of Existence is intrinsically Muslim.My learned friend explained that the word, written as Al-Lah means The Great Void - or The Nothingness from which Everything was born. Malaysian Indians Worth

I was shocked to hear in the radio of "An evening with the premier and the first lady of Malaysia" and they are saying that free food, goodies, lucky draw,entertainment with a grand prize motorcycle for the lucky winner!wow what a deal for the Indians just throw them free food and entertainment.that's good enough to garner their vote anyway this is what BN is thinking! Don't the Indians have any pride, how low would they stoop to sell their pride, shouldn't they be boycotting such programs which implies that they cheap? Have they forgotten of 2007 incident when thousands of them were treated like animals by the BN government and the many deaths in police custody or the latest interlok issue. The government has always paid lip service to the Indian community and when they throw a piece of bone with little meat they go running to BN. When will they ever change and take some pride in how they could make this country a better place for all of us.Think lah!

Alya, Hena sister said that Hena was walking from her room to an outdoor toilet when Mahbub Khan gagged her with cloth, forced her behind nearby shrubbery and beat and raped her.Hena Akhter's last words to her mother proclaimed her innocence and the family wants the world to know what really happened to their daughter
Take the religion out of this issue, on a humanitarian ground how could the so called religious and pious Iman order 101 lashes on a 14 year old girl. What kind of religion is that which orders such a punishment upon a young girl? What compassionate and merciful god are they referring to? Is this the kind of religion that mankind needs? Or is it man’s interpretation of religion in ignorance!

He said he was “afraid” the community would rise in opposition of the ministry’s decision and create further tension in the already delicate situation. “I am scared... everything can happen here. People are very unhappy and everything can happen,” he warned late yesterday.Harussani said that regardless of whether the matter’s legal status, Muslims still believe “Allah” should stay exclusively theirs.
I am not sure why this so called half baked Mufti is blabbering about, since when is the word ‘Allah’ belong to the Malays or Muslim? As I understand that the word was used even before Islam by the Jews,Christians and later by the Sikhs, so how could it be exclusive to the Muslims? Secondly, is it that only the Muslims can get angry, how about the Christians,Hindus, Buddhist and the rest, don’t they have any right under the constitution? Harussani, please don’t threaten others as the knife can also cut both ways!

Muhyidin the Two Faced Minister

The controversy over the 'Interlok' rose several notches today when the eight-member independent panel to review and amend the novel saw all its ethnic Indian members pull out this afternoon. Following a meeting held at Parliament building with Education Minister Muhyiddin Yassin today, all three ethnic Indian panellists declared they were withdrawing from the government-created body. According to writer Uthaya Shankar SB, the decision was taken after it became apparent that the other members of the panel had changed their minds after Muhyiddin rejected to all 100 amendentments and the panel rejected one-by-one the 100 modifications. “They (other panelist) said that soem words are not sensitive”. How would they know? We are Indians. We know what is sensitive and what is not,” said Uthaya, who is a celebrated Malay writer. These jokers are acedemics and intellects! My foot!
Now it is evident that Muhyiddin is just playing the political game by being insincere to the Indian community saying a committee shall be formed and will look into the amendents,yet this scumball instructed the panel what to be do. This is the typical UMNO style leadership. So MIC leaders, what are you going to do about it? Nothing as usual, I hope? Just go on sucking balls!

Interlok

I wanted to write about interlok for some time but never came around doing it. There were many quarters raising some intelligent question about the novel but it seems to fall into the governmnet’s deaf ears. The question that I wish to address is, not about the novel itself but about, but why is the Education Ministry insistent about making this novel a compulsory reference material for the form 4 and 5 school syllabus. Our beloved Education Ministry cum DPM could only set up a committee to review the book but not called for a complete ban. What if an Indian were to write about the Malay in adegotary manner would he still call for a committe or other wise? The committee did not allow any media coverage as they were banned from attending the meeting. Is it a drama that is being staged by the committee, why hide inside a room and make decision when you can be open about this issue.
Come to think about it, Hindraf is only voicing the dissatisfaction of the Indian community at large and about this novel being used as reference material in the secondary school. Why is that the Ministry did not follow their own criteria whict they set themself. The PM even has the cheek to tell that Hindraf is demonstrating seeking publicity and this joker claims that he is PM for all races but his action tells otherwise. Don’t you find it hilarious with his 1Malaysia slogan; People First, Performance Now.
Let me ask the PM, whom I assume is a Muslim, if this book were to be published during Prophet’s time, what would he do?

Indian or Malaysian Issue

Police arrested Human Rights Party (HRP) leader P Uthayakumar and 108 others and erected roadblocks around Kuala Lumpur in the bid to stop an 'anti-racism' rally aimed at protesting the controversial 'Interlok' novel by national laureate Abdullah Hussain, which has been criticised for containing racial slurs and stereotypes against the Indian and Chinese communities. Why is that this issue was considered as an Indian issue and why not as a Malaysian issue.
How are we going to form the notion of 1 Malaysia or whatever theme and slogan when the Indian communities issues or problems are always highlighted by Indian organization and not by others. When they highlight the issues faced by the community they are labelled as racist who does not support the greater course. Why is that no Malays, Chinese or lain lain spoke in support of this group? When no one highlighted their plight is it wrong for them to take matters in their own hand?The only support came from Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and that too was just requesting the authority namely the police to allow this peace rally and that's it. No Anwar, No Hadi no Ketingan , not a single voice of support!
What is that Hindraf is requesting, some demands that are genuine to Indian community need and neither the PM, Ministry , MIC the so called one and only Indian champion, Gerakan,PPP or whatever their names are does not seems to understand this issue. Let’s ask ourselves why are the Indians reverting to street demonstration, is it for just a publicity stint as mentioned in the various main and alternative media or a genuine quest. Hindraf is the only organization that I’ve known that have not changed their demands nor swerved from their original quest. The novel Interlok has been getting better mileage and sales in Malaysia as many Malaysian are crowding to know what is the content and now it is an open secret what the education ministry has been doing in the name of literature in educating the minds of the Young's.

I've got no qualms about the word "P" as I fully understand the meaning, those who consume beef are considered un-clean and been categorically labelled "P".So what is the big deal about it, as most Malays and many other races who consume beef are considered "P" from an Indian perspective akin non-muslims are considered kafir by the Muslims.
What if the reversal were written, just a thought, what if a local Indian were to write a novel and label the Malays as pendatang,bodoh,malas just as an example.(No malice intended)

History the Malaysian way

History is the issue of the day in Malaysia as recently two historians spoke out as to why the history book has given prominence to Islamic civilization than a fair share of history. Well I am not a historian but I did extract some points from a mail by a concerned mother which was published in MT. Some of the points that were highlighted were as below and that makes us wonder what kind of history is the government and education ministry trying to teach the young minds.

a) The Form 4 history textbook devoted 100 pages to Islamic civilization while the other religious civilizations are barely mention with 460 and out of 10 chapters, 5 bulky chapters are devoted to Islamic history.
That's makes us all as parents to question why 5 chapters to Islamic civilization and why it is so great that it need such space? Why not write about the current Islamic civilization? I thought it was under Islamic History those days!

b) There is a detailed study of the life of the prophet Muhammad (pg 102 – 107). He is repeatedly praised throughout the chapters. Students are then repeatedly exhorted throughout the book, to emulate him as a ROLE MODEL in life (pg 106, 111, 124, 133, 137, 138). I wonder why?Is the Malay-Muslim emulating him?

c) Religiously biased viewpoint some statements found in the textbook:-
(1) Islam is described as a religion easily acceptable and not confined to any race, nation or geography (pg 185).
(2) Islam can be accepted by many people because of the purity of its teaching (pg 110).
(3) The uniqueness of Islam resulted in many people embracing the religion (pg162, 163, 185).
(4) The conversion of some Arab leaders to Islam in 629 AD is described as “an act done after rational investigation into the truth of Islam” (pg 133).
(5) Islamic social policies are described as so attractive that European Christians converted to Islam during the Byzantine era (pg 163).
(6) Islam requires rational thinking and therefore is accepted by all levels of society. (pg 185).( Really not seeing any in Malaysia at least)

Why is that the Malay-Muslim mind think with such narrow view about history and religion. Enough is done to educate the Malays in the religion and why such an emphasize in history lesson? It clearly show how shallow they are in their thinking and talking about the past and never about the present Islamic civilization? I wonder what they can talk about?

Bernama Reported: The Kompas.com news portal quoted Indonesian military spokesman First Admiral Iskandar Sitompul as saying that the BAE 146-200 aircraft left Dili, Timor Leste, and landed at the airport yesterday afternoon.As such, when the aircraft had to refuel in Surabaya, it was detained. It was allowed to take off at about 8pm last night.According to Kompas, the flight was carrying members of the Malacca government, a cabinet minister and “Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's son”.
The unnamed minister and premier's son, plus four others, were however allowed to fly out of Surabaya on a commercial airliner.

History textbooks are biased and littered with errors, claim two authors and academicians. Dr Ranjit Singh Malhi and Ng How Kuen, who writes history textbooks for Chinese schools, say their experience with officialdom does not augur well for the teaching of history in our classrooms.Ranjit, author of secondary school history textbooks since 1990, and adviser to the Ministry of Education (MOE) on history textbooks, said such material were littered with factual errors and distortions. He said that when he pointed out the errors and distortions, a ministry official labelled him “anti-national”.

“Five out of 10 chapters of the Form Four history textbook deal with Islamic history as compared to only one chapter in the earlier textbook. Why 5 chapters on Islam?

Historical distortion:
1) Yap Ah Loy (the third Kapitan China of Kuala Lumpur),who played a major role in the development of Kuala Lumpur as a commercial and tin-mining centre, particularly after the fire of 1881,”was only mentioned in one sentence in Form Two history textbook.
2) “There is also no mention of freedom fighters such as Gurchan Singh (“Lion of Malaya”) and Sybil Karthigesu who resisted the Japanese Occupation of Malaya,” he said. (Gurchan secretly distributed a newspaper during the Japanese occupation while Sybil, who was tortured by the Japanese, and her husband treated wounded guerillas of the Malayan People’s Anti-Japanese Army).
3) The most glaring example of bias, he said, was related to the downfall of the Malay Sultanate of Malacca. "The 1996 Form One textbook stated inter alia that a few Indian merchants lent their junks to the Portuguese in their attack on Malacca.
Ranjit claims that there is no historical evidence to support this fact.

4) Selective prosecution of certain individuals or race
5) Millions or billions spent on by elections just to win vote
7) Marginalization of the minority race

Tell me which country in the world implements affirmative policy to help the the majority or shouts race supremacy? Only in Malaysia and all under BN rule!

He was heard still saying that he never said that Non-Malays lack of patriotism but their spirit of patriotism is not high enough. He went on to shoot down MP Kula saying that he maybe don't understand Bahasa Malaysia and didn't get A-plus for the subject. He was seen even to shout at the top of his lungs that he was not "race prejudice" and that he shared a room in the dorm with an Indian, which he reiterated twice. So what?

Who says that it is arbitrarily wrong to state the above? How many people even know who is a Melayu, and who is not? Do Malaysians even know the difference? Well, take a walk with me, and see how you fare on this educational journey.
The next time you meet someone who claims to be a “Melayu”, ask him, or her if he/she is a “Melayu Deli” or “Melayu Riau”. That’s the first question the individual needs to answer. A Javanese is definitely NOT a Melayu. He is a Javanese. The same applies to a Batak, Achehnese, Bugis, Sundanese, Sumba, Florence, Balinese, and so on. BTW, the Bataks are further subdivided into Karonese, Toba, PakPak, and so on. And NONE see eye to eye, and have much heated debates on which group is more “Pure”. I guess that they forgot that the concept of Thoroughbreds is directly propagating the concept of in-breeding. Somewhere, somehow, people just forgot this.
You see, in Indonesia, there are more than 164 suku’s, and Melayu is but one of them. Why is it so hard for goons like Abraham Ali to convince these Austronesian Migrants to call themselves a Melayu? The answer is so really simple. It’s because, in Indonesia, the Melayu are called “Lazy”, and “Stupid”, and “Totally Useless”. Go ahead, ask your Indonesian Maid what she knows about “Melayu”. And then call her a Melayu, and watch her putrid reaction. The original location for the Melayu is contested between the Medan regions, but more and more are agreeing that it was really in Jambi. Regardless, of which “camp” is correct, Medan is today, nearly void of any Melayu Deli. Most who have been to Medan, will quickly tell you that the Melayu are really really lazy people. Thus, no one wants to hire them, or to do business with them in Indonesia. It is so rare to find any Melayu who is hardworking here.

How many times have you gotten upset because someone wasn’t doing their job, because your child isn’t behaving, because your partner or friend isn’t living up to his or her end of the bargain?
How many times have you been irritated when someone doesn’t do things the way you’re used to? Or when you’ve planned something carefully and things didn’t go as you’d hoped?
This kind of anger and irritation happens to all of us — it’s part of the human experience.
One thing that irritates me is when people talk during a movie. Or cut me off in traffic. Or don’t wash their dishes after eating. Actually, I have a lot of these little annoyances — don’t we all?

And it isn’t always easy to find peace when you’ve become upset or irritated.
Let me let you in on a little secret to finding peace of mind: see the glass as already broken.
See, the cause of our stress, anger and irritation is that things don’t go the way we like, the way we expect them to. Think of how many times this has been true for you.
And so the solution is simple: expect things to go wrong, expect things to be different than we hoped or planned, expect the unexpected to happen. And accept it.
One quick example: on our recent trip to Japan, I told my kids to expect things to go wrong — they always do on a trip. I told them, “See it as part of the adventure.”
And this worked like a charm. When we inevitably took the wrong train on a foreign-language subway system, or when it rained on the day we went to Disney Sea, or when we took three trains and walked 10 blocks only to find the National Children’s Castle closed on Mondays … they said, “It’s part of the adventure!” And it was all OK — we didn’t get too bothered.

So when the nice glass you bought inevitably falls and breaks, someday, you might get upset. But not if you see the glass as already broken, from the day you get it. You know it’ll break someday, so from the beginning, see it as already broken. Be a time-traveler, or someone with time-traveling vision, and see the future of this glass, from this moment until it inevitably breaks.

And when it breaks, you won’t be upset or sad — because it was already broken, from the day you got it. And you’ll realize that every moment you have with it is precious.

Expect your child to mess up — all children do. And don’t get so upset when they mess up, when they don’t do what they’re “supposed” to do … because they’re supposed to mess up.

Expect your partner to be less than perfect.
Expect your friend to not show up sometimes.
Expect things to go not according to plan.
Expect people to be rude sometimes.
Expect coworkers not to come through sometimes.
Expect roommates not to wash their dishes or pick up their clothes, sometimes.
Expect the glass to break.
And accept it.

You won’t change these inevitable facts — they will happen, eventually. And if you expect it to happen — even see it as already happening, before it happens — you won’t get so upset.
You won’t overreact. You’ll respond appropriately, but not overreact. You can talk to the person about their behavior, and ask them kindly to consider your feelings when they do this … but you won’t get overly emotional and blow things out of proportion.
You’ll smile, and think, “I expected that to happen. The glass was already broken. And I accept that.”
You’ll have peace of mind. And that, my friends, is a welcome surprise.

The Sultan said the Malay Rulers were very important in the administration of the country and played a role in protecting the interests and well being of the country’s multi-racial citizens.

Like how the minorities were protected under the monarch; Orang Asal, and the Indians were protected..poorah!

Sultan Sharafuddin also said he was happy and proud that the Government had made History a compulsory subject in schools.This move, he said, would open up minds and create an understanding of the country’s historical events, thus preventing misunderstanding among the people.

Aiseh man than why our history only started with Melaka Sultanate, why not with Lembah Bujang? Have you forgotten that your forefathers paid protection money to China and Siam?

Zahid the kononnya Minister of Defence recently said that the Non-Bumis are less patriotic and that is the reason why they make up lower number of personnel's. Later the idiot minister denied questioning the loyalty and integrity of the non-Malays and instead defended that his parliamentary reply stated that the “sense patriotism is not strong enough”.

I really don't understand how someone as intelligent as you can come up with statements that are so blatantly ignorant. I'm 25 years old, my grandparents came from Kerala and I only speak English and Malay. I've never been to India, don't speak the language and all I can say is tanah tumpahnya darahku.
How dare you talk about fair distribution when you and your cronies have amassed vast fortunes at the expense of others? I don't see you going out among the less fortunate Malays and equitably distributing your wealth! If I follow from what you wrote you didn't deserve a place at medical school which means you took the place of someone who better deserved it. Which is what is happening all over this country in every arena.
Its not racial issues that the people are most concerned about its a lack of competency that is perpetuated because of racial policies. Malaysians would not care if the vast majority of the government were Malay if they were able to discharge their duties competently. If there were 10 doctors and only one was Malay I would go to him if he was best at his job. But we have idiots running this country (the government, the police, the MACC, the judiciary) to the ground and they happen to be a Malay majority so of course people are pissed.

Najib's maintenance cost

Do the rakyat know how much does it takes to maintain PM and DPM's maintenance?

Malaysiakini quoted that the Prime Minister Najib Razak's recently announced Budget 2011 has revealed shocking details about the amount of money put into the "rental and maintenance" of the official residences of the country's top politicians.
According to Budget 2011, a whopping RM26,000 a day is spent on the rental and maintenance of the official residences of the prime minister and deputy prime minister, Bukit Bendera MP Liew Chin Tong said in Penang.

a) RM4,149,000 was paid a year as rental to Putrajaya Holdings - the master developer of the federal administrative capital Putrajaya
2)RM1,896,616 on maintenance.
3)RM6 million a year for the rental and maintenance works for his official residence, Seri Perdana.
4)RM3.4 million (RM2,273,888 for rental and RM1,129,992 as maintenance for Seri Setia, for deputy premier's official residence
"This makes up a total of RM9.4 million a year; in total, or about RM26,000 a day for the residences of the PM and DPM alone," added Liew, who is also Seri executive director.
Liew also told a press conference at the Parliament lobby that a whopping RM65 million is needed to carry out on Najib's official residence over the next two years! Wow, imagine what 65M can do for the poor Malaysian.

The PKR Fiasco

It is so unbecoming of the so called PKR leaders who are not only irresponsible but also silly as some making strong press statements, some making uncall remarks about other leaders, playing dirty politics during the nomination and other unethical behaviours all this while since 2008 winning. I am becoming disillusioned about them taking over Putrajaya as they have not given enough reasons for the rakyat to believe that they are a capable of take over Putrajaya as they are busy with fighting each other for positions. The joke is that they whack BN for playing dirty politics in fact they are the same. If they are not careful they can forget about marching into Putrajaya as the dream is slowly fading away. Why you may ask, they are not showing the public that they are united as party neither displaying any leadership qualities including DSAI. DAP with their Perak fiasco and PRK with the internal politics as seen during this election is not very pleasing. Beware BN is gaining mileage recently with their “Bersama Rakyat” Programs all over the country as they are solving some grass root problems which should be your focus which you have failed misreably. If you jokers are going to continue with your infightings than you don’t deserve to be leaders of this nation either the rakyat shall vote for BN once again or a third force may become a reality.DSAI either you show your leadership qualities in managing your party or make way for others to lead!

Perkasa Youth chief Arman Azha Abu Hanifah said he had accompanied BTN deputy director Hamim Husain to lodge a police report against The Malaysian Insider for “misinterpreting” the contents of his speech during a Puteri Umno function last week.Hamim, during a closed-door Puteri Umno function, referred to the Chinese and Indian communities as “Si Mata Sepet” and “Si Botol” respectively when asking Puteri Umno members to approach the non-Malays for votes.

“He (Hamim) had lodged a report against the reporter and the news company for entering a private function, as well as misinterpreting what he had said,” claimed Arman.He is not wrong with what he said... it was said during a private closed-door function. Media has to respect when it is a private function. If you report about what was said privately, you are jeopardising the country’s racial harmony,” said Arman.

Now he is making a police report, wow, how twisted this bloke can be. So Arman,it is okay to make racist remarks under closed door? It was sad to hear that a successful Malay business woman was killed brutally. Some UMNO leaders, even the DPM had something to say about this murder and few visited the victims house. I wonder why? Who is Sosilawati, is she a business woman, or an UMNO member or just Malay woman. What if we replace Sosilawati's name with Ah Moi or Letchumi, would these UMNO leaders make a stand or even visit the victims family? The police appealing to the public not to treat this incident into a racial issue.Is there any reason to make it racial? It is a sad incident that many Malaysian despises. But let's ask ourselves why is that similar acts or deaths were not handled in a speedy manner such as Sosilawati's? I am not making it a racial issue either but why did the police not act promptly in solving some other murders over the years?Let me quote some; Triptipal Singh, 60, outside his home in Jalan Yeap Chor Ee on Oct 15, 1992; S Pathmanathan, 29, in his office in China Street on Oct 19, 1997; Chew Sien Chee, 39, in Bukit Mertajam on March 2, 2000; senior civil lawyer SP Annamalai, 59, outside his office in Green Hall on Nov 6, 2007; and R Thinakaran Raman, 37 in Prai on July 27, 2009. These cases are still unsolved and the Selangor Police Chief is saying that they have not closed the case and are still pending investigation! Strange isn't it that the police force still has open cases after 10 years or is it because the victims are all non-malays?

Do we really feel that we are free, some how I don't feel so when I read in the local newspapers how the people of the nation are divided under the racial and religious barrier which is an integral part of our society and every inch of sensitivity has been unearthed. Our nation may free from the British but another form colonism has taken over the minds and hearts of the people. Race and religion are the major stumbling block that Malaysia need to overcome as it is our common enemy and more so it is from within!

Penang Umno liaison chief Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi this week reported to have revealed the use of Lim's name in the "doa" recited after the Friday sermon at some mosques in the Permatang Pauh and Jelutong areas recently."What happened was clearly against the state Islamic Religious Council's ruling and this should be investigated by the relevant authorities, and action taken in accordance with the stipulated procedures," said Najib.
So Zahid and Najib, what's wrong with mentioning Lim's name in a prayer? Is it against your religion or UMNO Malays are so shallow in their thinking? So what if non-muslim mentioned your name in their prayers?

In the incident on Aug 12, SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra principal Siti Inshah Mansor allegedly uttered derogatory, offensive, insensitive and racist statements against non-Malay Muslim pupils during the launching of the school's national day celebrations.The principal was reported to have said that "Chinese students should go back to China" and likened Indian students to "dogs".The principal had also allegedly labelled non-Malays as “penumpang” (passengers) in the country during her speech.
This idiot is an educationist? Wonder how Najib is going to drive his 1Malaysia?

Several Chinese newspapers today gave prominence to reports of a Sungai Petani secondary school principal accusing non-Muslim students of "disrespecting" the fasting month of Ramadan.According to the report the school cafeteria had closed for the fasting month and non-Muslim students were left to their own devices to find food.Later, at the school assembly, the principal was alleged to have said that the Chinese students - comprising 10 percent of the student population of 780 - had been disrespectful and that "they should go back to China".
It was claimed that when the assembly was over, another teacher approached the Chinese students to say sarcastically that they should take an AirAsia flight, since the fares were cheap now.

So the mere sight of food makes the Malays to lose control of their faith and batal puasa? The joke is that these teachers are involved in nation building?

This was my friend's experience with her 8 year old's Bahasa Melayu homework.

"It was one of the days about three weeks ago, when my 8-year old daughter duly informed me that I was assigned some of her school homework. After a long day at work, I marvelled at the way she coolly delegated her homework to me. And I thought that only my office boss could delegate work to me. What a fallacy!

My homework that night was to log into my Internet connection and access a website listed in the following textbook:

According to my daughter, the class teacher had asked those who had an Internet connection at home to access the site and discuss the online content the next day. There seemed to be no other specific instructions. After taking a look at the website address, my gut feeling told me that something was amiss.

So I decided to access the site without the presence of my daughter. A good thing that I followed my gut feeling for lo and behold, the website address pointed to various pornographic sites. I double-checked, used a different web browser, called up another parent (who did not do the homework), and rang a friend. Everyone who accessed the website address reconfirmed my discovery. What was supposed to be a website on consumerism (Fomca) turned out to be X-rated.

Trying to convince my daughter that the 'anglefire' website was “invalid” was another challenge in itself. She insisted that I show her the “invalid” message displayed on the website and I had to concoct creative excuses to assure her that it was perfectly okay not to complete her 'homework' that night. I know that I did not convince her totally. In retrospect, I am just thankful that I did not have to explain the birds and the bees prematurely to her had I let her surf on her own.

Soon after, I duly informed the school about this grave error. Armed with the textbook, I insisted on the Senior Assistant (who was the most senior person in the office at that time) accessing the website according to what was printed in the textbook. I told him that I could not explain the problem unless he sees the website like how I saw it.

He seemed taken aback with the colourful display of images and links. He took a second look and perhaps, a third. He then looked at me and said “Alamak, ini kinky punya website!” (Whoever said the standard of English is low in 1Malaysia…. 'kinky' was in his vocabulary list!).

And my response was “Ya la, Encik, dan ini homework untuk darjah dua. Ini masalah besar.” Up to now, I cannot figure out the teaching methodology of this class teacher.

Two hours after I was at the school, the headmaster rang me to explain the actions that he had taken. The Education Ministry and also Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka had been informed. Personally, I am not convinced that anything will be done effectively. The text book is still with my daughter. Malaysia’s censorship board should be activated and be kept busy blacking out the website address from this text book nation-wide. They have demonstrated their great “blacking-out” skills with magazines like TIME.

It was so ironic reading an article in the Star (17 August, page N8) titled 'Need for sex education to combat social ills, says council (Malaysian Council for Child Welfare)'. There is a renewed interest in sex education due to more cases of baby dumping. It makes me wonder if the website link provided is part of a brilliant, if peverse, plan for sex education for 8-year old school children in 1Malaysia."

So, there you go sex education in Malaysia started earlier some 5 years ago hence the Education Ministry need not to review nor implement anything...just continue with Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka's publicaton to promote Bahasa Melayu or Malaysia!

Datuk Ibrahim Ali described the MCA’s Chinese Economic Congress as “ungrateful” after the congress called for economic liberalisation, adding that the demands showed they are “extremists”. “Perkasa denounces and condemns outright their request for the government to lower the 30 per cent equity for Bumiputera. This shows their ungrateful attitude to the Malay community and Bumiputeras who have compromised and tolerated because of the social contract in our constitution.
I guess Ibrahim wants the Malays to be "masyarakat kebajikan" for rest of their lives without making any attempts on their own to be successful. I have many Malay friends who very successful working in the private sector without any assistance from the government. How can they be successful without any affirmative plans?

5) MARA is fully owned by Malays

"This is very dangerous. As a Muslim, we should not worship the symbols of other religions or the devils," Nooh Gadot, a top Islamic cleric from Johor, said.
"It will erode our belief in Islam. There is no reason why we as Muslims should wear such jerseys, either for sports or fashion reasons," said Nooh, an adviser to the Johor religious council."These Muslims should repent, repent immediately," he said.
Another leading cleric, Harussani Zakaria, a cleric from Perak, agreed that devils should be shunned, not celebrated.
"Yes of course in Islam we don't allow people to wear this sort of thing," he said. "Devils are our enemies, why would you put their picture on you and wear it? You are only promoting the devil."

Just look at Perkasa which was supported by the former and present UMNO leaders namely Mahathir, Najib,Muhyiddin and rest of them. Now MCA Donald Lim is urging the Chinese NGO to emulate Perkasa, well technically not a wrong call if Perkasa can do it and it is supported by the UMNO Politician.Later I guess Samy Vellu may even decide on his own version of Perkasa. So what does this all tell us about these politicians; they are still a race based politicians who will never shred their skin of racism.When the whole world is moving forward Malaysia could be the only nation which is going back to the dark ages. Even in the world cup we could see players from different birthplace representing different countries in the latest tournament i.e Germany which was known to be an orthodox country in the past is slowly accepting diversity amongst their people and respecting differences in their nation building. Just do not understand why UMNO and the other BN component parties are fanning racial sentiments? I am biting my tongues to speak my mind here!

Dr Mahathir Mohamad suggested today that future government leaders could open the immigration floodgates to dilute the number of Malays in the country. Dr Mahathir expressed concern that the majority of Malays were not prepared to compete and would end up as labourers and chauffeurs. The fixation about being a majority race is a necessity for Malaysia's racial politics.
Why is he looking down on his own people not that he is a Malay, shouldn't he shoulder the blame for not being able to help the Malays during his tenure. Didn't he cried shamelessly that he had failed to change the mindset of the Malays during his historical political drama. Shouldn't he be labelled as a racist over his remarks? He is no different than Ibrahim Ali, Ahmad Ismail, Abdul Safar or any other UMNO Leaders who talk with sweetener in their mouth but full of vengeance in their heart. Out of the total, RM574.8 million went to Perimekar Sdn Bhd, which is owned by Abdul Razak, a known associate of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

So why is that there is no need to investigate as the public money is involved? Why Perimekar need to be paid RM 574.8 million? Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination ... end of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them.

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighbouring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of Menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odour for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbours. They claim the odour is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbour who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination, Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). Heard over the radio today that MACC will charge a policeman for accepting MYR 600 or 6000 as bribe. Very efficient one!How about the millions that was squandered by UMNO/MCA/MIC politicians and still going on. Why has MACC have not taken any action against them. Perkasa not so extreme: Najib

Beetle: Of course, Prime Minister Najb Razak, Umno can accommodate Perkasa because it is the offspring of Umno. Of course, Perkasa's views are not extreme because it represents the views of Umno. And of course, Umno will listen to the views of Perkasa, because Dr Mahathir Mohamad said it should do so.

Chipmunk: So now we have the PM for all Malaysians suddenly endorsing Perkasa as a not-so-extreme organisation. Next, you will see Perkasa going out all the way to bring racial discord and the PM will then say, "Oh, it is beyond my control", just as what happened before the torching of churches.

While Perkasa can go on protesting, why not let Hindraf and other NGOs go and speak their hearts out? Will the PM then keep quiet and say that they too aren't extreme? When will the government learn that our neighbouring nations are prospering while we shout at each other?

In the end, Malaysia will be left out behind. For God's sake, stop this nonsense and stay united as 1Malaysia regardless of whether you are Malay, Chinese, Indian or another race. Let's all stand together and get our nation back on track. Mr PM, you better do what you say.

It was reported in the Star today that the National Fatwa Council has found the National Monument venue unsuitable for the celebration of Warriors Day. This was announced by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Jamil Khir Baharom. He said that the council had found the venue unsuitable because the monument was in the form of human statues. Jamil said, "The Fatwa Council’s guidelines say that the venue should not have items in the shape of humans, as this can be controversial." he also announced that a Warriors Square would be built on a permanent site in Putrajaya for future celebrations.

The word Perkasa have been a mouth piece among many Malaysian's more so I think amongst the Malays as they claim to be fighting for the Malays right. I don't want to question the Malay right but want to understand what Perkasa is fighthing for or what the constitution has to say about the Malay rights.
I understand that Perkasa claims;(correct if i am wrong)
1)that the right of Bumiputeras to own 67 per cent the nation’s economic wealth because they form the majority;
2)the ISA as being integral to 1 Malaysia;
3)the word Allah is exclusive to Muslims.
Let's address this one by one, 67% of equity, who is opposing them not to own that percentage. what went right or wrong with the NEP policies for the last 52 years and why is that the Malays are still lagging behind?
What does ISA got to do with Malay rights? Still can't figure that out? About the holy word " Allah" do whatever you want as I don't use that word at all. Doesn't bother me!
Now let's see what the Reid Commission had to say on the issue and wherein they noted that:

“… We found that there are now four matters with regard to which the special position of the Malays is recognised and safeguarded:
1. … Malay reservations of land …
2. … admission to the public services …
3. … permits or licenses for the operation of certain businesses …
4. … scholarships, bursaries and other forms of aid for educational purposes …”
and then recommended that:
“… with the integration of the various communities into a common nationality which we trust will gradually come about, the need for these preferences will gradually disappear. Our recommendations are made on the footing that the Malays should be assured that the present position will continue for a substantial period, but that in due course the present preferences should be reduced and should ultimately cease so that there should then be no discrimination between races and communities.“We recommend that after 15 years there should be a review of the whole matter ...”

Non Malays in civil service

The STAR quoted an asemblyman as saying;the 8,372-strong civil service of the Malaysian state of Johor has only 10 Chinese and 116 Indians.Bentayan assemblyman Gwee Tong Hian said in terms of percentage, Indians and Chinese made up 1.39 percent and 0.12 percent of the state civil service respectively.Gwee said the statistics were given to him in a written reply from Minister Abdul Ghani Othman.
Now let's hear from the MB Ghani, he said that in 2007, only five Indians applied for jobs in the civil service, with only two being short-listed and appointed and there were no Chinese applicants that year.
He added that in 2008, there were seven Indian applicants. Only four were appointed. As for Chinese applicants, only five applied, two were short-listed and appointed.
He said the commission had also taken initiatives to encourage non-Malays to join the civil service with programmes initiated by the state's Economic Planning Unit and Jobstreet.com.
Yes Ghani, I believe you that you are sincere and serious about allowing non-malays in the civil service. Let me tell you a story wait make it two; my cousin have been trying for a federal government and the Penang state civil service job for the last two years and she has not even received an interview appointment. Another cousin of mine from Perak even went to meet the MB, Zamby and what he received was only a support letter from him to the secretary of civil service and period. These are the two cases that happened within my family circle. So Ghani and your fellow UMNO government please don't wayang kulit with us!

Malays too can be successful

I am not sure why PERKASA under the leadership of Ibrahim Ali with the support of the past PM of Malaysia Mahathir are claiming that the Malay rights need to be protected at all cause. Are they saying that the Malays are too weak to be successful and they need government interference and aid to be successful?
Perkasa even talked about Malays being threaten in their own homeland and are still weak who need crutches to protect them from "too advance" non-Malays. They even went as far as to pull a dramatic stunt by saying that the non-malays would take over the nation and sidelined the malays if the Malays are not united.Two questions came to my mind;
a) Why does PERKASA think that the Malays were not capable to stand on their own feet? Doesn't this akin Perkasa looking down upon their own races capabilities.
b) What was the UMNO led government doing for the last 50 over years about this disparities? Shouldn't their NEP policies would have made them much stronger and competitive with others who are not so lucky to enjoy any affirmative programs like the Malays.
I know that there are many Malays who are more professional, more progressive and more focused on what is necessary and required to advance the community's economic cause without such warlike and anti-social siege mentality. In the private sector I have seen such individuals who does not need any affirmative action plan to make them successful as they stand tall with non-malays. They are proud of their achievements and rightfully they should be!

NST quoted that Guests at the Penarik Inn in Kuala Terengganu were flabbergasted by the actions of a group of men said to be from the state Religious Affairs Department (JHEAT) who conducted a raid yesterday morning.Guests claimed they were rudely awakened at 2.25am by loud, incessant banging on their chalet doors.
Haniffah Mariati Mohamed, 55, said the men even threatened to break the door open when she told them to wait for her to put on her headgear (tudung).
"They went away after the door was opened and I told them I was staying at the chalet alone," she said, adding that they never showed any authority cards or warrants to conduct the raid despite claiming they were from JHEAT.
Haniffah was outraged when she saw one of the men peeping through a window about 20 minutes later."I screamed at the top of my lungs. It was very rude of them to peep into my room like that." Chalet operator Mohd Baharudin Mohd Said, 63, said this was not the first such incident. "They would normally come after midnight and question my guests without even informing me about their intentions."I have a register of all my guests and I would give them full cooperation if they had approached me first," he said, adding that he only came to know about the raid when some guests complained.
He said during the raid yesterday, a couple was taken away by the group and were only sent back at 6am after they proved that they were legally married.
"It was a harrowing experience for them. They checked out immediately and I don't know if they will ever stay at my chalet again."
Baharudin lodged a police report about the incident at the Penarik police station at 9am yesterday. "I hope the authorities will look into this as it could hurt the state's reputation as a tourist destination."
I asked my Muslim friends about this act by JHEAT to which they say that this is un-islamic to their knowledge as common sense have not prevailed at any time. Well who am I to say what I think about this as I would be " *Gunasekaraned" by the UMNO Muslims!

It depicts how the Muslims were mistreated by the general American public and how they lived in fear of racial attacks post 9/11. Some even shaved their beard which is considered a religious symbol to the Muslim and the women removed their "hijab" or "tudung' just to be avoid any unruly treatment. The character Khan after losing his son due to school bullies also lost his wife's love as she blamed him for their son's death as he carried his surname "Khan". Hence Khan set out on a quest to meet the President of USA to tell him that his name is Khan an he is not a terrorist. The moral is to tell the audience that racial profiling and prejudice is unwarranted for mankind to live in peace. I could fully relate to this story in Malaysia as that's how the citizens were profiled either as a 'Bumi' or 'Non-Bumi'. My name warrants the government and its mechanism to marginalise me and refuse me of my rights in this country of which I was born. It's just because my name is Ah Kow, Muthu, Ramasamy or Ah Chong and I am called a 'pendatang' because of my name.We cry out loud if any Muslims were discriminated in other part of the world but we do the same here in this country do those who are non-Muslims. Why am I being treated differently compared to the Malay-Muslims? Will it make a difference if I changed my name to Mohammad,Najib,Muhyiddin or Ibrahim Ali? Even an illegal of Muslim faith are treated with respect compared to us who are born in this country.
By the way my name is Ah Kow and Muthu and I too am Malaysian!

The Star - Malay rights group Perkasa has been given a publication permit to print Suara Perkasa.
Its president Datuk Ibrahim Ali said the publication may turn into a daily if the demand was great.Thanking the Home Ministry for granting the permit to the non-governmental organisation, Ibrahim said it would kick off as a fortnightly.
He said that readers would be enlightened to facts chiding certain portals for presenting “selective” facts that did not portray the real picture.
He even said that “People are fed-up reading twisted facts,” he said.
Is he talking about the main media or the alternative, looking forward for the real facts Ibrahim.Anyway wonder how come Perkasa could get the approval from Home Ministry but thereare many other application pending for a long period? Ajaib bin Aneh.

Kerismuddin refuses to meet a 30-member delegation made up of representatives from Pakatan Rakyat and NGOs today at Putrajaya disappointed after Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein declined to accept their memo in person regarding the police shooting of unemployed single mom Norizan Salleh.
They were met by an unidentified batik-shirted man instead in the lobby to receive the memorandum on behalf of the minister.Norizan who was shot five times and beaten up by police after the car she was a passenger in was stopped by police on the MRR2, is claiming that attack on her was without reason and wrongful.

I read this in the STAR today with astonishment, tell you why later.
An Iraqi, who is taking a doctorate at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in electronics engineering, was charged in the Magistrates Court here Friday with reckless driving and causing the death of a student at the university, Fadilah Abdul Halim, 27, last Thursday.Hamood Sheehab Hamid, 45, was charged with committing the offence driving in a reckless and dangerous manner, under section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, at the traffic light exit to USM, at Jalan Transkrian about 9.45am.Hamood Sheehab Hamid, 45, is studying for a doctorate in electronics engineering.
However, no plea was recorded because Hamood could neither understand English nor Bahasa Malaysia!
What's so funny is, how come an Apex University like USM accepted an doctorate student who does not understand English? Hello bukan degree tau...doctorate, wow i wonder what is language of instruction? Let say his doctorate is research based,yet how does he do his research references as most of the materials are in English and not arabic or even bahasa malaysia or in what language does he write his thesis? Apex university or apek university? Bravo USM.

As I said earlier that Najib does not need the opposition to sabotage his 1 Malasyia concept, his own government arm is good enough to do that.
The latest being an incident at cameron Highland where two political parties lodged separate police reports against a Cameron Highlands district office staff for uttering racial slurs against a group protestors who were unhappy with the performance of the district officer. PSM Cameron Highlands branch spokesperson Suresh Kumar told Malaysiakini that the first report was lodged by DAP Pahang state deputy chief J Appalasamy @ Simmathiri at the Kampung Raja police station Tuesday morning immediately after the incident and the other at Tanah Rata police station yesterday.
According to Suresh, one employee of the district office had uttered 'balik India (go back to India)' at the protestors while they were attempting to hand a protest memorandum to the assistant district officer Shaffirul Amree Awang Kechik.
The memorandum list out the grouses faced by low-income workers who are facing problems with obtaining Temporary Occupation Licences (TOL), petty-trader licences and low-cost housing.
Worst still it all happened in front of the Cameron Highland district police chief Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu! Wow...i guess some govenment officer can do anthing and get away with anything one...no police can stop them. I think most likely Suresh would be charged for disrupting public peace!

Mahathir changes his mind...again

Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the proposal to allow direct membership in the BN should be considered as the situation has changed now and benefits will arise from such a move.The former BN chairperson and former Umno president said that the BN used to have such method in the past but problems started to arise when direct members wanted to become election candidates, resulting in other component parties becaming truly unhappy.
"Because of that, the direct membership of alliance was ended and terminated.
"But maybe the situation is slightly different or has changed, so the possibility is that we should consider the proposal," he told reporters after a visit to the Lotus headquarters in Hethel, Norfolk on Tuesday.
Why change of tune now Mahathir? By the way who is sponsoring your trips to Lotus plant, I suggest that MACC quickly invetigate the hidden hands making this possible for Mahathir!

Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the prime minister, has dismissed a notion that she is a hidden hand behind Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s decision-making process.
“I have not heard about it, but it is not something that I am sensitive of as it is not true. Maybe I am a bit vocal or gregarious... I like to have friends unlike Datuk Najib, who is a bit reserve.
“But it does not mean that since Datuk Najib is a reserve person, I am making the decisions... I am the type, who will voice out my dissatisfaction, but once said, it is done. I do not harbour feelings,” she said in an interview on Hello Malaysia over BernamaTV at Wisma Bernama here on Friday.
Rosmah said although Najib was a man of not many words, he should not be underestimated.
“I always tell others not to underestimate Datuk Najib, he is not easily angered but do not provoke him. If he is angry, there is no forgiveness for you.
“Datuk does not say much but he registered what is happening around him. If I made a mistake, he will reprimand me. If he stomp his feet, it will shudder me.
There you go Malaysian, now we know about our PM's character, don't make him angry, you'll never like him if he is angry!Sounds like the green man...well you know what I meant.

Isu 3 wanita Islam di sebat

"Shaikh Saleem is a law practitioner. He is sometimes perturbed that in Melaka, apparently, non-Muslims are prohibited from uttering his first name. He is now thinking of seeking damages from his parents for giving him a name which cannot be used, uttered, called upon or written by non-Muslims.
That was so funny!

Why men are treated differently

The recent ruling to cane women for illicit sex made me wonder if the same rule applies to men? After all some men do this, don't they? The existence of brothel houses in Malaysia and the heaven in the neighbouring country and so forth do tempt some men to pay courtesy visits! Anyway this is what is stated in the Bible;

The Bible, in Deutoronomy specifically dictates:
22:21 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the unmarried woman.
22:22then they shall bring out the woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones so that she will die...
Unfortunately, most fail to read just one verse later, which says:
23: If a man is found to be sleeping with another man's wife, then both the man, and the woman whom he was sleeping with should DIE!
So if it is true as the Bible prescribes the killing of a non-virgin wife and aduletry couple; I belief that there could be an equivalent in the Hadith as well. Maybe the Muslims brothers or sisters could enlighten me on this? If it is true then when will Jakim, Jais or whatever "IS' shall implement death sentence upon men. By the way it is word of "god" so failure to abide is akin going against god teaching!

First Malaysian Women Whipped

The STAR covered that three Muslim women were caned last Tuesday for engaging in illicit sex, They were the first women in Malaysia to receive such punishment under syariah law.Two of them where whipped six times and the third was given four strokes of the rotan at Kajang Prison.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.Hishammuddin said he decided to bring to public attention the punishment meted to the three women because “People are saying that no woman has been caned before and that Kartika should not be caned.“Today I am announcing that we have already done it. There is no hidden agenda, we are merely executing our responsibility,” he told a press conference at his office yesterday.“They have all repented. They are also hoping that others will not go against the teachings of the religion,” adding that the sentence was meted out according to Islamic rules.
With this event it should put to rest whether the 32-year-old Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno should be caned for drinking beer in July last year.I guess it is a new beginning for Syariah Law to be fully enforced in Malaysia specifically on Muslims.It is a good move in ensuring that the Muslims abide by Islamic Law in order to avoid severe shariah punishment.
