Why the Malays have failed?

Why the Malays are deemed to have been left behind compared to the other races in Malaysia? The UMNO politician will fight teeth to teeth in arguing that affirmative action is a necessity to help bridge the yawning gap in socio-economic situation between the Malays and non-malays. They even claim that an average Malaysian Indian earns more than the Malay. So they claim!
Let’s take a look at this claim, I do not have any statistics unlike the government yet mine is through observation. (Qualitative approach mah!).
To start with UMNO is the largest BN component party with the largest member and majority Ministers in the cabinet are Malays. Secondly the majority of Member of Parliament in the Parliament is also Malays. Most if not all of the government department is also headed by them and yet they say that the Malays are left behind.

How about the Government Linked Companies, most of the CEO/GM, Chairman and top level management are Malays? They’ll boycott if a non-malay were to hold an acting role until a suitable Malay leader is found like the PKNS fiasco. Most or all of the public Universities are headed by Malay Vice Chancellors and head of faculties are also them. How about Professorship and scholarship offered to do PHD! Is it not them who take priority? I could be wrong though!

The NEP is meant for the Malays and yet they could not make the 30% target for the past 50 years. Interesting! How about places in matriculation which is mainly to assist the Malay student to receive tertiary education without doing form six like the non-malay students. They even have UITM solely for the Malay students! How about AP’s given to Malay businessman even some do not have showroom to run an automobile business.

Why do they still fail? I guess this is not enough more need to be done to ensure that the Malays are successful and to be equal to the rest of the race.
